Caitrin Assaf joined the Gray Washington News Bureau as a multimedia journalist in July 2025. She comes from Little Rock, AR where she spent 5 years as a midday anchor and general assignment reporter. During her time in the Natural State, she earned a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Writing, a Regional Mid-America Emmy, and multiple SPJ Diamond Awards.
After graduating from Boston College with a degree in Communications, Caitrin headed to her first TV market in Grand Junction, CO. There, she discovered her love of storytelling and developed an interest in politics. After two years on the Western Slope, she moved across the country to Little Rock and simultaneously enrolled in the Johns Hopkins AAP MA in Government program with a concentration in Political Communications. She published her thesis and graduated in December of 2024 and immediately started planning her future in D.C.!
Caitrin was born and raised in Boca Raton, FL and is thrilled to be back on the east coast.
