Lake Charles man killed in early Saturday morning crash

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A Lake Charles man died in a two-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.

Lake Charles Police Department officials say officers responded to a crash at the intersection of Gerstner Memorial and Third Street just after 3 a.m.

Ray Murray, a driver in the crash, was taken to Lake Charles Memorial Hospital before being transferred to a Lafayette hospital for his injuries. Murray was later pronounced dead at the Lafayette General Hospital.

The Lake Charles Police Traffic Division is still investigating the crash.
