Lake Charles officials told KPLC that On the Rocks’ alcohol license has been temporarily revoked by the city’s Alcohol Review Board. On the Rocks appealed the decision Thursday and the issue will likely go before the city council.

The Lake Charles Police Department requested that the city’s Alcohol Review Board review the bar’s permit “due to multiple disturbances.”

In a statement posted to On the Rocks’ Facebook page, the bar and grill said it was due to a “noise ordinance violation.”

“We are temporarily shut down due to a noise ordinance violation and no liquor violations to be clear. As soon as we get more information, We will be putting out a statement. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
