Coushatta Casino Resort celebrates grand opening of Legacy Tower expansion
KINDER, La. (KPLC) - Coushatta Casino Resort celebrated the grand opening of its new Legacy Tower on Friday, marking a major expansion that adds 204 hotel rooms — including 100 luxury suites — and brings the resort’s total to more than 1,000 rooms.

The Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana hosted a ceremony inside the new Legacy Tower lobby with tribal leaders, resort executives, project partners, elected officials and community members.
The event included a tribal blessing, traditional performances, remarks from leadership, partner recognition and a ribbon cutting.
“Legacy Tower represents more than growth for Coushatta,” said David Sickey, chairman of the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana. “It reflects our commitment to building something lasting for future generations while honoring the legacy of those who came before us.”

The resort says Legacy Tower is designed to serve as a new main entrance experience, featuring a redesigned arrival area, a new connecting lobby meant to centralize guest access across the property, and a seven-story LED display on the exterior.
Inside, the tower’s design blends modern luxury with elements inspired by Coushatta culture, including patterns influenced by traditional basketry.
“Legacy Tower represents an exciting new chapter for Coushatta,” said Nate Tanner, general manager of Coushatta Casino Resort. “This expansion brings the resort together in a more seamless and elevated way.”
The project is part of the resort’s “Bigger, Better Coushatta” initiative, which the resort says is focused on improving the guest experience while supporting jobs and tourism in Southwest Louisiana and East Texas.

The grand opening celebration continues Saturday, May 16, with the resort’s $300,000 Legacy & Luxury Giveaway.
Coushatta says Legacy Tower opens for guest stays on May 18.
