KK's Corner; What We Now Know About the Murders

Before the capital murder trial of Thomas Cisco--authorities had told the public little about what happened during the triple murder at KK's Corner. During the trial many more details were made public.
Authorities know convicted murder Thomas Cisco could not have acted alone in the killings at KK's Corner. Besides there being three victims, three phone wires were cut; the store manager's office door was ripped off the hinges; the security video tape was stolen; a fingerprint lifted, never been matched to anyone.
In his many confessions Cisco speaks of others involved including three men: Malcolm, Bobby and Chris.
(Interview Excerpt) Investigator Lucky Delouche: "All right and who is that Tom?" Cisco: "That's Bobby." Delouche: "Bobby who?" Cisco: "I don't know his last name." Delouche: "And what is Bobby's involvement in this?" Cisco: "He stayed in the car and he's the one that cut the phone wires."
Investigators say Malcolm and Bobby were eliminated as suspects. A man by the name of Chris Cabral, who resembles a composite sketch developed, is still under investigation.
From what district attorney Rick Bryant says, Cabral's alibi is not exactly air tight. "He has an alibi with his girlfriend that he was shooting fireworks on the fourth of July. And they said he was there with Alfred foster, the girlfriend's brother. FBI spoke to Mr. Foster. Mr. Foster said they did shoot fireworks but Chris Cabral's was not there."
Many others whose names surfaced have been eliminated as suspects. However Bryant says over three years the investigating has never ended: "The task force literally interviewed 50 to 100 suspects with varying alibis or stories of where they were. If we find evidence on anybody that Mr. Cisco's named or anybody else we're going to prosecute them because we know there are more people involved."
And sheriff Beth Lundy says the case is a high priority: "Our hope is that individuals will now feel secure in coming forward with a new sheriff and with some new investigators on board."
So, while the trial revealed a lot about the murders at KK's Corner, many questions remain...questions the victims' families are determined to see answered.
Just this week, a jury convicted Cisco of first degree murder and decided he should get the death penalty.
