PARIS (WVUE) - The Saints’ groundbreaking game in France didn’t exactly go their way Sunday (Oct. 25), ending in a disappointing 16-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

But the NFL’s commissioner said they’ll get more chances to make an impression in the nation.

“There’s no better connection than having the Saints here in France,” NFL commissioner Roger Goodell told a pregame breakfast audience in Paris as he sat alongside team owner Gayle Benson.

“It is a perfect fit for us, and it’s great that the Saints want to come back. So, I have zero doubt that we will have the Saints back.”

The NFL’s collective bargaining agreement with the NFL Players Association allows for a current maximum of 10 regular-season games to be played at international venues.

The league is playing nine such games outside the United States this season, but has not announced its slate of international games for next season.
