LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The Cameron Parish Sheriff’s Office is launching a new in-home visitation program to connect deputies with senior citizens and residents with special needs in the parish.

“This program is a new initiative under our Elderly Services Division,” says Sheriff Chris Savoie. “The purpose of this program is to assist senior and disabled residents with their needs, keep them informed about scams to be aware of and give them an opportunity to share any concerns they have about their neighborhood.”

To sign up for a visit with a deputy, fill out the online form. Paper forms are available at the sheriff’s office substations in Johnson Bayou, Grand Lake/Sweet Lake and Hackberry, as well as the Cameron Parish Council on Aging.
