Body found in Black Bayou, south of Lake Charles airport

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - A body was found in Black Bayou, south of the Lake Charles Regional Airport, Wednesday morning, authorities said.
After receiving a call around 10 a.m., deputies went to the scene, but were unable to find the body so they sent their drone into the air, and were able to locate the body of a man, Sheriff Tony Mancuso said.
The body has been recovered.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Tony Mancuso told KPLC that during the search, the sheriff's office didn't locate a boat or kayak and it hasn't received a missing person report on anyone.
"We're not sure what is going on at this time," he said.
