BREAKING: Body found near rice dryers in Lacassine

LACASSINE, LA (KPLC) - Authorities are investigating a death after a body was found Thursday morning in Lacassine.
Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff Ivy Woods said they do not suspect foul play and that it appears to be either an accidental death or suicide.
The body of a white male was found near the rice dryers on Lakota Street in Lacassine.
Authorities said they will run toxicology tests to see if the victim was impaired.
When deputies arrived they said they found the body without a shirt. A shirt was seen on top of one of the dryers and authorities are working to get it down to see if it belonged to the victim.
The man's parents have been notified, but authorities are withholding his identity for a while longer.
KPLC's Gerron Jordan will have more on later editions.
