Starks neighborhood evacuated due to overturned tanker

STARKS, La. (KPLC) - An area of Starks was closed to traffic and the homes evacuated due to an overturned tanker, officials say.

Susie Street, Fourth Street, and Berry Street reopened around 10:15 p.m., according to Ward 5 Fire District 1.

Officials said the evacuation of the homes in the area was a precaution.
