After the chase of the silver Chevy Cobalt ended in front of Taco Bell on U.S. 171 in Lake Charles, the Lake Charles Police Department detained a male and a female suspect, police said.

Sulphur police say one person was killed and another injured in an overnight shooting in the 600 block of W. Verdine Street, between N. Claiborne Street and N. Crocker Street. Neighbors told KPLC they heard shots around midnight last night and saw a man lying on the ground.
