Crying Eagle brewery to debut a new beer can design with McNeese
LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - The Lake Charles based brewing company, Crying Eagle has announced their plan to run a limited supply of McNeese themed beer cans. Though it is not a new beer in and of itself, Crying Eagle chose it's flagship beer to put in this new can.
Crying Eagle President, Eric Avery says, "We had bounced around the idea of doing a McNeese collaboration using a number of different styles of beer. But at the end of the day it came down to using our number one seller"
The companies 'Louisiana Lager' is the beer they will be distributing. The beer can is being used to help promote the excitement for the start of McNeese's football season. The release is limited though. Crying Eagle only has about 250 cases of this McNeese themed beer. Avery says parts of the proceeds will be distributed to the university.
Candace Townsend, Director of Public Relations at McNeese says, "It's something for the football season that fans are going to be excited about and then after that, we'll have to see."
The new can will be launched on September 15th at the brewery, the same day as McNeese's first game.
