LDWF investigating early morning boat explosion on Calcasieu River

CALCASIEU PARISH, LA (KPLC) - Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and the Fire Marshal's Office are investigating a boat explosion that happened Sunday morning, according to Lt. Beau Robertson.

Robertson says the explosion happened early Sunday morning near the west fork of the Calcasieu River when three men were working on a boat on a private dock.

Two men received second and third-degree burns while one man received first and second-degree burns. Robertson says they were rushed to the hospital in critical condition, but are now in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
