LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - The driver who caused the accident on I-210 east near the Ryan Street Exit has been cited for careless operation of a motor vehicle, according to Lt. Kevin Kirkum with Lake Charles Police.
A vehicle was traveling east on I-210 and attempting to get off the interstate at the Ryan Street Exit around 5:11 p.m. on July 24, says Kirkum. Traffic was backed up and the driver was unable to stop before striking a vehicle in the rear.
Kirkum says the struck vehicle flipped over and struck another vehicle in front of it. Flying debris hit a fourth vehicle in passing.
Two drivers were taken to a local hospital for minor injuries. Officer Kasie Landry handled the investigation.
