SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA (KPLC) - A Lake Charles man has been arrested after being accused of stealing TVs with empty TV boxes.

The DeRidder Police Department posted on their Facebook page asking for help identifying a suspect.

Authorities said the suspect would bring an empty TV box into a store, then switch the empty box for one with the same model TV inside.

After seeing the DeRidder Police Department's post on Facebook, Walmart employees in Jennings notified the Jennings Police Department after they believed they saw a man attempt the same thing, according to Chief of Police Danny Semmes. Jennings Police Department set up surveillance at Walmart, and arrested Patrick Drawl, 31, on a charge of theft, when they saw him leaving the store with a TV

Drawl is booked into the Jefferson Davis parish jail.

There is no bond set yet.
