Vernon Parish public schools to dismiss early

SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA (KPLC) - Vernon Parish public schools will dismiss early Wednesday due to the threat of inclement weather. Half-day times vary by school.

All Calcasieu and Cameron parish schools and facilities are closed Wednesday because of the weather.

Also, all Diocese of Lake Charles schools are closed.

Other Wednesday school closures:

• All McNeese State University classes.
• All Delta Tech classes.
• SOWELA Technical Community College classes.
• Bishop Noland EDS and Hamilton Christian Academy.
• All Lake Charles Charter schools.
• First Baptist Christian Academy.
• Cameron Parish Head Start.
• First Methodist School, Lake Charles.
• Victory Baptist School.
• Ship's Ahoy Children's Academy.
• Glad Tidings Preschool.
• Academy of Acadiana .
• Henning Methodist Daycare and Preschool.
• Glad Tidings Mothers Day Out.
• Leap Into Learning Child Development Center.
• Our Lady Queen of Heaven, Our Lady of Good Counsel prep classes.

Allen, Beauregard and Jefferson Davis parish schools remain open, as of now.
