DeQuincy High to close Wednesday following deaths of two students in traffic accidents

DEQUINCY, LA (KPLC) - DeQuincy High School will close Wednesday, following the deaths of two students, Calcasieu school board officials announced.

Charlee Smith, 18, and Lauren Marie Leblanc, 17, were killed when their vehicles collided on La. 27 Sunday. For more, click HERE.

"The closure is to allow students, faculty and staff to pay their respects to the two young ladies that we tragically lost over the weekend," School Board spokeswoman Holly Holland said.
