Many families may have an Elf on a Shelf who keeps watch on children to report back to Santa Claus. According to Christmas tradition, the elf watches closely during the day, and will be found in a new spot each day from Thanksgiving to Christmas to make sure children are behaving.

Two elves made their way to Southwest Louisiana, but there was too much excitement, so they took their adventures off the shelf.

Their names are Bold and Sassy, and they call themselves 'Elf Off the Shelf in Cajun Country.' They take daily adventures around Southwest Louisiana from Thanksgiving to Christmas. This is the second year the two have taken their duties off the shelf together in the Lake Area. Bold is also known as C.C. Hartman, while Sassy is also known as Kayla Rigney.

"Just sitting on a shelf didn't seem like a lot of fun for us, so we decided that we would go do some random, some mischievous things, some good things," said Rigney. "People point and laugh a lot."

They've visited McNeese, Cowboy Stadium, the store, and the train station, just to name a few. They post a picture a day to share their adventures.

"So far Santa is not following us though. I don't know what's up with that," said Rigney
