Program to highlight history of theatre in Lake Charles

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - The Southwest Louisiana Genealogical and Historical Library will host a program on April 7 that explores the history of theatre in Lake Charles.

The event is free and open to the public. It will take place from 10-11 a.m. at the library, located at 411 Pujo St.

Diane McCarthy will serve as presenter for the program, which is part of the library's ongoing "Tidbits of History series." The event will focus on theatrical venues and events in Lake Charles from 1800 to present day.
