Arrests made in elementary school burglary

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Lake Charles Police have arrested 3 suspects in connection with a burglary at JD Clifton Elementary School.

Christopher Bartie Jr., 21, and Stacy Lamb, 18, both of Lake Charles, have been charged with simple burglary and felony theft.

Bartie Jr. is being held on a $20,000 bond and Lamb is being held on a $30,000 bond. The third suspect is a juvenile.

Sunday, police responded to a burglary alarm at the school and saw numerous electronic devices had been stolen. Police said the suspects broke a window to get into the school.

Detectives have been able to recover some of the stolen property. LCPD encourages anyone with information about the location of the school's stolen goods to contact Detective Sgt. Tim Richards at 337-491-1311.
