Landrieu and Cassidy agree to televised debate

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Incumbent Democrat US Sen. Mary Landrieu and Republican challenger Congressman Bill Cassidy have agreed to meet in one debate for their runoff election for the US Senate.

The debate will be held on Monday, Dec. 1 at the WAFB studio in Baton Rouge. It is scheduled to last from 7-8 p.m.

The debate will be televised over the air and online by KPLC. You can watch it HERE and on the KPLC News app.

In the primary election, Landrieu captured 42 percent of the vote, while Cassidy finished with 41 percent.
