LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - A 33-year-old woman, a registered sex offender, was arrested Tuesday at a home in Lake Charles, authorities said.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Christina Morgan Holt is facing charges of failure to register as a sex offender and failure to comply with sex offender identification.

Myers said Holt, who was convicted of oral sexual battery in Calcasieu Parish in 2002, was released from a Baton Rouge jail on Aug. 15.

"When deputies spoke with Holt she did not have the proper identification on her and she said she's been staying in Lake Charles for approximately one month where she has failed to register," Myers said Wednesday in a news release. "All registered sex offenders are required by law to notify the proper authorities within three days of a move to another address."

Myers said deputies were called to the home when the owner called after finding out that Holt was staying there with the owner's roommate.

"Holt was sleeping at the home because she got into an altercation with her boyfriend," Myers said.

Bond was set at $7,500.
