Former KPLC anchor Jan Hardy dies at 59

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Former KPLC anchor Jan Hardy has passed away. She was 59.
Hardy, a McNeese State grad, left KPLC in 1990 to pursue a career in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
She completed her doctorate in 2000 and worked in research and development for a pharmaceutical company.
Hardy, who spent eight years at KPLC as host of 7 News at Noon and Live at Five, recently moved back home to Carlyss to care for her parents.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
