LOUISIANA (KPLC) - Residents are still complaining about Louisiana inspection stickers peeling off.

Last year, Stephen Campbell, the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles for the state, said officials contacted the manufacturer, but they haven't tracked down the exact problem. This year, Vera Hollier, owner of Novus Auto Glass in Lake Charles, said the state is telling her to use scotch tape to keep the stickers on.

“Unfortunately, all you can do is come back and tape the edges to make it stay up there,” said Hollier.

Hollier said at least one customer calls a day to complain about the new inspection stickers falling off.

“Now we have one and two year stickers,” said Hollier. “What's bad is that if you put a two year stick on there, within a few months, then it's trying to peel off, so that's not a good situation.”

We've made calls to the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles about the continuing problem.
