LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Lake Charles Police say they have arrested two suspects in the armed robbery of a business on Tuesday.
Arrested were Cody Allen Sturrock, 19, and Kevin Allen Ballard, 29, both of Lake Charles. They are facing charges of armed robbery and armed robbery use of firearm. Lake Charles Police Chief Don Dixon said more charges are possible. He spoke at a news conference on Wednesday afternoon.
Dixon said "good police work" ultimately led to the arrests.
Bond for both is set at $75,000.

Authorities on Tuesday found charred remains of a vehicle near Fall and Kirkman Streets in Lake Charles. Authorities say it was torched by the two men in an effort to cover their tracks. But long before they reached the empty lot, the story started a few blocks away on Common Street.
"We're obviously in the middle of this investigation but it was two armed men with masks and gloves, armed with weapons," Dixon said.
Dixon said the suspects, who were wearing masks and gloves, robbed the Instacash business before jumping in a truck that had recently been reported stolen to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office.
"It looks like it was a deliberate attempt with arson to destroy the evidence," Dixon said.
Investigators combed through the charred debris and went door-to-door all afternoon Monday, investigating.
"We're trying to see if there's video in the store, and talking to the eye witnesses and the victims who were robbed. So, we're in the middle of all this," he said.
Those with information in the case should call 491-1311 and ask for Detective Franklin Fondel.
