Suspect who fled from Welsh authorities turns himself in to U.S. Marshals

LAFAYETTE PARISH, LA (KPLC) - Damien Guidry, the suspect who reportedly fled from the Welsh Police Department on June 19, is in the custody of federal authorities.

According to authorities, 33-year-old Guidry was being taken in for a federal warrant when he fled from the Welsh Police Department facility.

Guidry reportedly surrendered Thursday morning to federal authorities in Lafayette, according to the U.S. Marshal's Office.
