HACKBERRY, LA (KPLC) - The Hackberry Fire Department will conduct a test of sirens in Hackberry on Monday between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., according to Danny Lavergne, Cameron Parish OHSEP director.

Lavergne said the sirens were put in place to be able to alert residents of a hazardous gas leak if the situation ever arises.

Those with questions can call Mark Granger with LNG at 337-275-1676 or Mike Welch, Hackberry Fire Chief, at 337-274-2717.
