Rain didn't dampen Children's Parade: Now looking at Tuesday's Forecast

Good Evening,

Lee Peck in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we are working on for 7 News Nightcast.

As expected the rain poured in but didn't dampen the spirits of the parade goers. Despite the weather the Children's Parade rolled down Ryan Street. KPLC's Gerron Jordan earned some beads and will have a recap of all of today's events, including the Lake Charles Lighted Boat Parade.

With the exception of the Royal Gala tomorrow night we now have a break in festivities until Fat Tuesday. Can we expect more rain? Meteorologist Cedric Haynes will have your complete forecast.

And New Orleans is not without its problems this weekend. Police are investigating a shooting that injured four people last night in the French Quarter.

This next story is something you don't see everyday…  Hog hunters from all over the state participated in a local Hog Hunting tournament. We're there as the hogs are weighed in.

Plus, the Ryan Streetscape project has come a long way since last year. Tonight we'll have an update on the progress and when crews expect to be completely finished with the project.

We'll see you tonight at ten for these stories and much more. Until then log on to kplctv.com for news, sports and weather updates.
