The following is a Press Release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office:

On February 14, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office Compliance and Awareness Unit (CAP Unit) arrested sex offender Daniel I. Wilson, 47, of Lake Charles, after an investigation revealed he had moved without notifying the proper authorities within three (3) days, as required by law for all registered sex offenders.

Wilson, who also had an outstanding warrant for theft over $500, was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with failure to register as a sex offender.

Wilson was convicted of indecent behavior with juveniles in Rapides Parish in May 2010.

Judge Clayton Davis set his bond at $2,500.

CPSO Detective Allison Toups is the lead investigator on this case.
