After spending two years in Southwest Georgia, Zach Logan is excited to be reporting in his hometown of Savannah. Zach joined the WTOC news team in January 2018 as a reporter. He now serves as the morning reporter for THE News at Daybreak.
Before returning home, Zach worked as the morning reporter for WALB News 10's 'Today in Georgia,' so, he's no stranger to the 2:30 a.m. alarm clock. Zach says his favorite part about working the morning shift is the variety of stories he gets to share with viewers. From traffic impacts following a major accident to ice skating with Disney characters, Zach has experienced it all.
He's proud to be a "true Savannahian" with roots in both the Effingham and Savannah Chatham Public School Systems. He even studied vocal performance at Savannah Arts Academy and went on to graduate with a bachelor's degree in English from Armstrong State University.
Growing up in the Coastal Empire, it was always a dream for Zach to report for the Big Red 11. Before school, Zach would watch Dave Turley and Mike Cihla in the mornings. And at night, he'd beg his parents to let him stay up to watch Dawn Baker and Mike Manhatton anchor THE News at 11.
When he's not working the morning show, Zach enjoys traveling to other cities, working out, or just laying on the couch binge-watching reality TV.
