Authorities investigating residence on 3rd Ave.

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office says it is assisting the FBI with an investigation at a residence near Eighth Street and Third Avenue in Lake Charles.

The FBI shared a statement that said the following: “The FBI is on Eighth Street conducting court-approved law enforcement activity. Beyond that, the FBI does not comment on investigations but there is no threat to the public.”

Around 9 a.m. Thursday morning, law enforcement vehicles covered the corner of Eighth Street and Third Avenue. At least one person was spotted in handcuffs at the scene, which cleared shortly before noon.
