Lake Charles, LA (KPLC) - Jamarcus Miller, 19, is accused of firing gunshots from a vehicle at two males walking near the area of Bank and Sycamore Streets in a drive-by shooting on Sunday, April, 3, authorities said.

The two victims, aged 17 and 18, were treated for gunshot wounds at the local hospital. The 18-year-old has been released while the 17-year-old remains in stable condition.

At approximately 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, Officers with the LCPD SWAT Team arrested Miller in the area of 4th Avenue and 10th Street.

Miller is currently being held at the Calcasieu Correctional Center and is facing two counts of attempted second-degree murder charges, authorities said.

Miller’s bond has been set at $300,000.
