Jennings teacher reaches Top 10 in Kelly and Ryan Live’s Top Teacher Search

JENNINGS, La. (KPLC) - A teacher from Jennings has reached the Top 10 in Kelly and Ryan Live’s Top Teacher Search.

Pauline Bourne is a Kindergarten teacher at James Ward Elementary, where she’s taught for 35 years.

The winner of the talk show’s Top Teacher competition is awarded $10,000 plus $10,000 in teacher project funding from Sonic.

Bourne was nominated by a fellow teacher.

The letter says in part, “I have worked as a teacher and school counselor in many schools for over 17 years and I have never seen such a dedicated teacher as Mrs. Bourne. She is truly deserving of this award. Once you meet her, you will be just as aware of the joy she exudes for education.”
