LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The Louisiana Department of Health reported on its website Tuesday that 22,000 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine have been administered.

The first COVID-19 vaccines were given in Louisiana on Dec. 14, 2020.

The Department of Health updates numbers each day, except Saturday.

· 1,647 patients hospitalized (57 more than previous day).
