LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - According to the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office, Jimmie Box went missing back in August after allegedly being kidnapped, and several months later, his family is able to lay him to rest.

Jimmie Brice Box, Jr., 26, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Monday, August 17, 2020.
Jimmie graduated from DeRidder High School in 2012. He was a member of the JROTC. He was very passionate about spending time outdoors. Jimmie was an avid fisherman and hunter. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Jimmie and Melissa Box, Sr. of DeRidder, LA; sister, Summer Leigh Hope Brown and Logan of DeRidder, LA; grandparents, Jimmie Hall and Sarah Nell Box of DeRidder, LA, Patricia Ann and Howard Stanley Jones of Greenville, MS; nieces and nephews, Madison, Sadie and Jones Brown of DeRidder, LA; his fur babies, Zeus and Gunny; and a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Wayne Lester.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Brother Mike Nolen will officiate the service.
