Lake Charles man arrested following shooting at nightclub on Hwy 90

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A Lake Charles man has been arrested following an early morning shooting at a nightclub on the 3900 block of Hwy 90, according to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Spokeswoman Kayla Vincent says deputies were dispatched to the nightclub after receiving a call about a shooting around 3:30 a.m. this morning, June, 14, 2020.
Upon arrival, deputies say they found a victim that had received a gunshot wound. Deputies dressed the wound until emergency medical personnel could arrive. After the victim was transported to a local hospital, deputies learned that there were three additional victims at the hospital that had received gunshot wounds as a result of the shooting.
All four victims received non-life-threatening injuries.
During their investigation, deputies say they spoke to witnesses and learned that Nathaniel J. Lede, 26, of Lake Charles, was responsible for the shooting.
Shortly after this, Lede was spotted driving on Hwy 14 in Lake Charles. A traffic stop was initiated and Lede was taken into custody.
Lede was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center for 4 counts of aggravated battery, aggravated assault with a firearm, illegal possession of a firearm an alcoholic beverage outlet, possession of a firearm by a felon, illegal discharge of a firearm during a violent crime. Judge Michael Canaday has set Lede’s bond at $535,000.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office says that Lede was on parole after being released in 2018 after being convicted of illegal use of a weapon, illegal possession of stolen things, and simple burglary.
