LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - I-10 east near Lafayette has reopened.
The interstate was closed from Crowley to Lafayette for most of the day after an 18-wheeler carrying hazardous materials overturned near Ambassador Caffrey.

Gossen said that the 18-wheeler was carrying propylene tetramer, a flammable material which had to be offloaded before the truck could be moved.
The single-vehicle accident happened when the truck veered off the right side of the road as it was traveling eastbound, Gossen said. The driver was uninjured.
