LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A Leesville man has been arrested after being accused of second-degree rape, according to the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Department.

Chief Detective Rhonda Jordan says they had received a complaint regarding inappropriate sexual contact between a 15 year old girl and Andrew Earl Jeane, 24, of Leesville, on Feb. 9, 2020.

Detectives interviewed the victim who said that she was staying the night with a friend when Jeane assaulted her. The victim then underwent a sexual assault forensic exam.

During the interview, detectives located Jeane who they say admitted to sexually assaulting the victim.

Jeane was originally arrested for indecent behavior with a juvenile on Feb. 10, but after detectives received the results of the sexual assault examination he was also charged with second-degree rape.

Bond has not been set for Jeane at this time.
