Cynthia’s Holiday Kitchen: 7UP Cake

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - For the third week of the Holiday Kitchen, we’re making 7UP Cake.

The Holiday Kitchen runs on Live at Five on Fridays through the holiday season.



· 3 sticks of butter

· 3 cups of sugar

· 3 cups of cake flour

· 5 large eggs

· 1 tablespoons of vanilla extract

· 1 tablespoons of lemon extract

· 3/4 cup of 7UP


· 1 cup confectioners sugar

· 2 tablespoons of lemon juice

· 2 tablespoons of 7UP


Cream the butter and the sugar and gradually add in the eggs (make sure the eggs are at room temperature). Then gradually add in the cake flour. Add your vanilla extract and lemon extract. Pour in your 3/4 cup of 7Up and mix.

Set your oven to 350 degrees F. Pour your batter into the sprayed bundt cake pan.

Pour your confectioners sugar in a bowl, add your lemon juice, and add 2 tablespoons of 7Up.
