LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Patchy fog possible this morning in coastal areas. Farther in land the possibility of fog is less likely, but still going to be humid this morning. Models still insisting showers develop, but I still believe that chance remains very small through the morning hours. Into the afternoon we’ll see temperatures warming nicely into the low 70s with cloudy skies. Breezy conditions continue through the day today. Rain chances are back into the forecast later this evening and into the early hours of Saturday. We also see the chance for patchy fog once again as temperatures fall into the 60s.
Saturday starts with hit-or-miss showers and continue through the day. Not going to be a wash out but keep the umbrella handy as we could see a couple of showers. Cloudy skies still going to plaque us through the weekend with temperatures warming into the 70s again.
Sunday we see rain chances jump to 30%. These showers are hit-or-miss once again and Sunday won’t be a washout either. That cold front pushes through and helps cool temperatures and drop dewpoints so no fog Sunday night. But, that rain chances continue overnight as the front stalls just off shore keep rain chances in the forecast overnight and into Monday.
Thankfully, temperatures are not forecast to drop as drastically highs reaching the 60s through Monday afternoon even with that shower chance continuing. Rain chances stick around through Tuesday as the stationary front lingers across the area. Temperatures still in the low 60s through the afternoon on Tuesday.
Unfortunately, rain chances don’t end there the continue through later in the week with a 40% chance on Wednesday and a 30% chance on Thursday. Temperatures stay about average through the later part of next week in the low 60s.
