LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - A safety inspection was conducted at the Cameron Liquefied Natural Gas facility earlier this week.
The inspection was done by the U.S. Coast Guard to verify the safety of the marine transport system for the facility.
The safety inspection covered things like equipment, facility design, construction, operations maintenance, personnel training, and firefighting systems. The company also had to submit its Marine Operations Manual and Emergency Manual for the Coast Guard to examine.
The inspection went smoothly according to Chief of Prevention, Lt. William Hickey with the Lake Charles Marine Safety Unit.
