LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Cold start to the day with winds out of the north making it feel like the mid to upper 30s through the morning hours. We’ll see sunny skies through the day today helping us warm into the mid 60s through the afternoon. As we head into the evening hours clouds begin to increase with mostly cloudy skies overnight into Valentine’s Day.
Starting off our Thursday we’ll see cool temperatures, but thankfully not as cold as this morning. We’ll rebound into the 70s with winds out of the south. This will increase moisture meaning more cloud cover through the afternoon.
Expect the same pattern into the first half of the weekend with mostly cloudy skies Friday and Saturday with temperatures getting into the mid 70s both days.
Rain chances increase into Sunday with a 20% chance of hit or miss showers. Temperatures still warm into the 70s and we’ll see that number falling as we head into our next work week.
Cool and rainy start to our Presidents’ Day with temperatures struggling to get out of the 50s through the afternoon with rain chances at 40%. These rain chances increases through Tuesday with our next cold front pushing through the area.
