LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - The plan to shift all traffic on the 210 bridge to the westbound lanes has been delayed a day due to weather conditions, the Louisiana Department of Transportation says.
The eastbound lanes will be shut down as part of the year-long construction project on the 210 bridge.
Traffic will travel in both directions in the westbound lanes of the bridge, although the bridge will be closed to all eastbound traffic from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. Thursday.
DOTD says the eastbound lanes are being closed to remove and replace the 930 feet of concrete deck, to install inspection walkways and retrofit new guardrails.
Vehicles more than 11 feet wide may not travel through the work zone.
