LA (KPLC) - A DeRidder native has announced his run for Louisiana Insurance Commissioner.
Tim Temple has been in the insurance industry for over 20 years and believes he can address a number of issues such as:
- Lowering auto rates
- attracting more insurance companies to Louisiana
- Better communication with consumers and agents
- More transparency within the office
- Promoting legislation that positively impacts all of Louisiana
- Simplifying regulatory process
Temple says he has worked his way up through the insurance industry, starting out in neighborhood insurance and eventually becoming an insurance executive. Temple is currently the president of a family owned, Baton Rouge based, company.
Temple also serves on the Louisiana Committee of 100 for Economic Development. Temple claims to have helped make real and positive change for state residents in government, education, and economics.
Temple also says he will use his experience and success as a businessman to bring and outsider’s perspective to the job of Insurance Commissioner. He promises to lower insurance rates in an attempt to provide better quality of life for Louisiana residents.
