DeRIDDER, LA (KPLC) - DeRidder point guard and LSU signee Domonique Davis' basketball legend continues to grow as the senior was named a nominee for the 2019 McDonald’s All-American Game. The nominees were announced Wednesday morning.
Davis has been on tear this season, nearly averaging a triple-double. The future Lady Tiger is averaging 25 points, eight rebounds and seven assists per game. She’s posted triple-doubles in three of the last four games as the Lady Dragons sit 15-11 overall on the season.
The final rosters for the 2019 McDonald’s All American Games will be revealed on Thursday, Jan. 24 at 2:00 p.m. on ESPN’s The Jump and at 5:00 p.m. on SportsCenter according to the event’s website.
Fans can watch the 18th annual McDonald’s All American Girls Game on ESPN2 at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 27. This year’s game will be held on March 27 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
Southwest Louisiana has never had a player selected to the game, although former LaGrange center Keshonda Carrier was named a finalist before signing with Auburn in 2005.
