Sulphur Police asking for public’s assistance finding hit and run suspect

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Sulphur Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect who struck a traffic light box at the intersection of Beglis Pkwy and Hwy 90.

Police say they discovered the damaged light box around 2:05 a.m. this morning when they noticed that the intersection lights were out. Upon further investigation they were able to determine that the box had been severely damaged by a hit and run crash.

Officers located parts a vehicle which was determined to belong to the suspect. Police believe it to be a 2015 - 2017 Chevrolet Silverado HD 2500 or 3500 pickup truck. The color of the vehicle was not able to be determined and they say the vehicle was traveling either west or south at the time of the crash.
