NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Running back Leonard Fournette met with Jaguars top brass to “clear the air and move forward together for 2019” according to a report by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The meeting was with executive vice president Tom Coughlin and other executives with the team. Coughlin called out Fournette and running back T.J. Yeldon for being “disrespectful, selfish and their behavior was unbecoming that of a professional football player.”
Fournette was inactive for the final game of the regular season, and appeared to be not paying attention.
The team voided guarantees in his rookie contract, which meant with guarantees gone, the Jaguars could cut Fournette with no financial repercussions.
But now it appears things are headed in the right direction according to the report.
