JENNINGS, LA (KPLC) - The Jennings Police Department’s police dog Buck received a donation of body armor, according to JPD’s Facebook Page.

Buck received a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a donation from Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. The program is open to dogs actively employed in the U.S. with law enforcement or related agencies who are certified and at least 20 months of age, as well as dogs with expired vests.

The donation to provide one protective vest for a law enforcement dog is $950. Each vest is valued between $1,744 and $2,283.
