Suspected drunk driver with two children in vehicle hits Lyft driver on La. 385

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - A driver faces charges, including a DWI with child endangerment charge, after hitting a Lyft driver on La. 385 near Burton Coliseum, according to Tpr. Derek Senegal, with Louisiana State Police.

LSP was responding to a two-vehicle crash on Dec. 31 around 8 p.m., said Senegal. The suspect, Cesar Abdiel Cisneros, was driving a Ford F-250 pickup truck.

Senegal said the Lyft driver was in a Nissan Maxima and was hit from the rear. The Lyft driver received minor injuries and the Lyft’s passenger was not injured.

Cisneros and his passengers received no injuries, said Senegal. Cisneros showed signs of impairment. His toxicology test showed he was twice over the legal limit.

There were two children in the vehicle with Cisneros; both under the age of 12. Cisneros faces the following charges:

• DWI w/ child endangerment

• careless operation

• equipment violation

• tinted windshield

• failure to register vehicle

• failure to transfer title of vehicle
