Light up The Lake rescheduled due to inclement weather

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - The Lake Charles Light up the Lake Christmas Festival has been rescheduled to to inclement weather.
The festival was set to take place this Friday, Nov. 30. A street parade through downtown Lake Charles was set to begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by fireworks, concerts, crafts, and Santa arriving at the Civic Center.
The forecast for this weekend has caused city officials to reschedule to celebration to Dec. 15.
The street parade and lighting ceremony have been cancelled. The lighted boat parade and the fireworks will now take place on Dec. 15.
Santa’s workshop will also take place from 12-3 p.m. where kids can make Christmas cards, participate in crafts, train rides, and photos with Santa.
Movies with the Mayor will begin at 3:30 p.m. in the Rosa Hart Theater. Elf will be playing.
The lighted boat parade will start at 6 p.m. and fireworks over the lake will follow at 6:45 p.m.
